Mudeford is not exactly the best spot for a quick dip. These overfalls are due to about 5 knots of tide and a sand banked sea bed. The chop in the picture, sorry rib, had quite a lot of revs on to get in. Not many yachts live here but it's really popular with kite surfers and dinghy nutters. It's also a favourite place, due to the strong currents, for children to practice their crabbing skills. We like it here when it's blowing old boots as the sea gets very rough and waves often come up over the quay.
