It had to happen.
This afternoon, whilst minding my own business and hurriedly making a quiche for dinner, as I needed time to get the boat ready, the doorbell rang.
It appears that the shower in the main bathroom has been leaking and the floor below is suffering from a drip...drip...drip (nothing to do with the person at the door). Water has been slowly seeping through to their kitchen.
Much ado was made about the whole thing, despite apologies, which erked me somewhat. These things happen. That's why we have things like insurance.
We've had a similar problem for more than a year in our corridor, from the floor above and choose to get on with it, though it seems that some people will use any excuse to be gittish.
This rather interfered with our plans to get the keel stuck in the mud whilst trundling out for a play on the water; so after a trip to B&Q and some Fur repairs, we decided to go to the bar.
Funny that....

You should have told the folks downstairs "oh, that's not water..." Might as well have some fun with it.
Cool castle. Mrs Phos and I love castles, we saw a buttload and a half of them in Germany.
LOL @ Phos! It really irks me when folks can't be reasonable. Nope, instead they gotta be all about drama! We once had neighbors actually try to sue us (in court!) because high winds blew something on our truck (it had been tied down, too!) onto their vehicle! What did they expect? At the time we lived in the foothills of the mountains, where high winds (very high winds) were the norm rather than the exception!
"Quick lorraine" I bet ? real men don`t eat quick! or do they? I love it! Mmmmm :o))
