Refreshing

We set off early yesterday morning. Up at 6, off at 7, to catch the full ebb tide down the Solent and also to get as much of the water to ourselves; before the loonies cast off.
45 miles of really good sailing, averaging about 7 knots and topping 10 on a broad reach in the Western Solent, we were on fire, if not just on the edge of comfort in about 20 knots of WSW breeze.
The weather isn't going to be as good as we would like for the next week, but having sorted the boat in time to enjoy the entire season and already with over 200 miles under the keel; one cannot complain.
In other news, Bibi has decided she likes grunting. I thought she had the Schwein Fever fur a second, before realising she was just being a happy bun.
Everything's a learning curve.....
