Just when you thought...

Everything was going quite smoothly, someone had to open their mouth and spoil the party. It all started with pleasantry and good manners, a fretless sleep and then of course the morning after. Only this hangover leaves a far bitterrrerrrer taste in the mouth than any booze fuelled quest ever could.
Haha, Fuffy, you fool; I thought as the pointed comment lingered in front of me before zipping over my head. Whilst leopards may sometimes change their spots, the Beast of Bodmin Moor has no stripes. Or something like that.

Fuff out

I've got it! Buy yourself a good and loud (and big) fog horn, hand held variety of course. Then every time one of those snooty remarks raises its ugly head - just blast away!! If my intuition is correct, the remarks (once started) come so fast and furious that the fog horn will wind up dominating the entire conversation and no one will be able to get a word in edgewise! There, you see?!!! Mission accomplished!! (^_^)

Another alternative is to make appropriate use of the flared nostril. Tilt head to one side, look scathingly at rude person, flare nostrils, say "really ?" is appropriately calm yet superior tone. Works like a charm...
