More Brrrrr

It's never plain sailing, weatherwise, if you live on an island at the edge of the Atlantic.
It was too cold for me to stay out on the boat today, so I hid indoors and cooked, whilst Fur carried on tweaking and polishing.
The largest cruise ship in the world, The Freedom of the Seas, is in until Tuesday. She looks like a humongous block of flats.. Might go out and take a piccie tomorrow.
In honour of this apparently one off visit, firework displays have been scheduled. One was last night, another tonight and yet another will take place tomorrow.
Although cloud is preventing a decent view, the noise is another thing altogether. They must be using weapons grade pyrotechnics, as it sounds as though the city is being blown up from here.

Errr, dunno. The thought of ice skating whilst heeling thirty five degrees is interesting though.

Weapons grade pyro? Eeeek!

Cover your ears!

Will the show still go on if the cloud cover remains? Can't imagine it'd be as spectacular.

Stay warm!

Low altitude fireworks can be very spectacular in clouds - the light diffuses out very far as if the clouds were acting like fibre optic cables. The high pyrotechnics, though, are a waste unless you have a clear sky.

T - They weren't very loud from the water, fortunately. The ship's horn was a bit loud though!

Charlie - LOL

Nanuk - They were prettier last night, no cloud around.
